Emotional Intelligence (EI) training has shown enhancements in the relationships among employees, as well as an increase in companies’ productivity. However, interventions that may achieve a great number of workers with a low cost, and that enable flexible schedules are still a challenge. This research aimed to evaluate an EI online training in an automotive technology industry. The training sample was composed of 39 employees. The participants were divided into two groups, G1 (22) and G2 (17). Both groups were assessed, then G1 received the training while G2 was kept on hold. Next, one more assessment was carried out with both groups. The training was performed with G2 and G1 was kept on hold. Finally, one more assessment was carried out with both groups. Overall, improvements were found in the EI measurements for the areas related to emotional self-awareness. The EI subarea that was most affected by the training was the one of self-awareness; self-assessment of emotions regulation in others; and high potency emotions regulation. In addition, the EI self-perception score for G1 was maintained after twenty days of training. The impact of training in the work context discussed.
