Evidências adicionais e invariância cultural da escala de conflito trabalho-família com seguranças prisionais no Brasil e México

Em tempos pandêmicos, em que a COVID-19 impulsionou a prática do home office, impossibilitando a divisão demarcada entre o trabalho e a família, pensar em trabalho também é pensar sobre família. É um objetivo do presente trabalho obter evidências adicionais da escala multidimensional de conflito trabalho-família de Carlson et al. (2000) em trabalhadores do sistema penitenciário do Brasil e do México, assim como verificar se nessa categoria profissional há maior prevalência do conflito do que população geral, por se tratar de uma profissão que envolve diversos estressores, riscos e turnos de trabalho na modalidade de plantão 24 horas. A amostra foi composta por 408 trabalhadores (Brasil: 212; México: 196). As análises fatoriais confirmatórias revelaram que o modelo de seis fatores correlacionados apresentou os melhores índices de ajuste, e a análise fatorial confirmatória multigrupo indicaram que os parâmetros dos itens eram invariantes entre os países do estudo. O trabalho prisional demonstrou como atividade que o conflito trabalho-família está presente e, possivelmente, mais intensificado do que em outras atividades ocupacionais. As propriedades psicométricas levantadas da escala recomendam o seu uso futuro em investigações brasileiras e mexicanas destinadas a avaliar o conflito e os seus consequentes neste grupo profissional.
