Dear community of the Chilean Journal of Nursing, we inform you that we continue to receive articles for publication this 2024,
with a continuous publication system on Nursing and Health Sciences topics;
and an average publication time of nine weeks from article submission to publication. (GUIDELINES FOR THE AUTOR)
Article evaluation criteria
Our Journal meets the requirements of the most relevant indexing catalogs in the Health Sciences and other related fields.
The evaluation criteria of the articles are:
1) They must be original works that report research advances and are not original but relevant to the Health Sciences and other related fields.
2) The content of the manuscripts must refer to the analysis and discussion of topics that contribute to the Health Sciences and other related fields at a national and international level.
3) The articles will be evaluated considering the following criteria:
•Clear objective that is achieved with the development of the investigation and responds to a question or knowledge gap.
•Offers relevant contributions to the development to the Health Sciences and other related fields in terms of conceptual approaches, development of clinical cases, educational experiences, approach to interventions and research in public health, and analysis of health phenomena from interdisciplinary perspectives, among others contributions.
•Develop relevant content for national and international audiences. It contains an appropriate contextualization for understanding the topic outside the author's country of origin.
•The text is structured coherently and is written fluently and clearly. In addition, the introduction, methodology, results, discussions, and conclusions (according to the Guidelines for authors) are observed.
•The references used are relevant, up-to-date, and pertinent in Vancouver style.
Additionally, the articles that report research results will be evaluated considering the following criteria:
•Gives an account of the rigorously used methodology. The type of study is described, and the methodological decisions and steps taken to achieve the results are justified.
•Ethical standards are met in data collection and processing (informed consent, anonymized informants, the confidentiality of sensitive information, etc.)
•Declares the approval of the institution's ethics committee sponsoring the research.
•The results presented support the proposed conclusions.
4) All manuscripts must comply with the formal and specific citation requirements indicated in the Guidelines for authors section.
5) Submissions that do not comply with the Guidelines will be returned to the authors, without being able to begin the editorial process.
