Abstract

The author refers, from a methodological perspective, to the role of the History of Law in the training of graduates. She attributes to this discipline the virtue of “making critical approaches to the legal universe, unlike dogmatic disciplines that try to generate certainties about the legal system valid”. Through it, the student becomes aware of the origin of the legal institutions, of their holistic nature and of the comparison between the developments in different legal fields, which will lead to their training as jurists and not as mere “operators of the Law”.
