Is studied the influence of the Bolivian municipal legislation in the municipality of Antofagasta, once occupied the territory of the Atacama desert by the Chilean forces, in February 14, 1879, noting that the contemplated powers in the topics of incomes and goods of the Bolivian period, were defended by the neighbors, most of them Chileans, i front of the limitations of those by the political authority. The recognition of such faculties was established by law whick created in 1888 the Antofagasta province.
