The Islamic revelation comes at a time when Christianity sees itself as the only possible religion after having overcome paganism and find itself during a struggle against heresies. Therefore, the Byzantine Empire does not see as a threat for a new religion to Islam, but rather as a divine punishment and heresy more during the end times.
