Abstract

This work examines Santiago Alvarez's documentary "Mi hermano Fidel", in order to explore how this film displays a reflection about the act of creating History. In this case, understanding History as a subjective process, configured from a specific point of view, reveals the various aspects of reality and chooses one, thereby evidencing the filmmaker's visión. We trace along this documentary the marks of such reflection, where the film´s structure and its narrative resources expose how History is shaped by a multiplicity of voices, and not through only one.
